Translations

(Etheridge) for more noble [Or, free.] were those Jihudoyee who were there than those Jihudoyee who were in Thessalonika; and they heard from them the word daily with joy, while they decided from the scriptures whether these things were so.

(Murdock) For the Jews there were more liberal than the Jews of Thessalonica; and they gladly heard the word from them daily, and searched from the scriptures whether these things were so.

(Lamsa) For the Jews there were more liberal than the Jews who were in Thes-sa-lo-ni'ca, in that they gladly heard the word daily, and searched the scriptures to find out if these things were so.

(KJV) These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
