Translations

(Etheridge) And he directed that they should make them all recline in companies upon the herbage;

(Murdock) And he bid them make the people recline on the grass by companies.

(Lamsa) And he commanded them to make everyone sit down in groups on the grass.

(KJV) And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
