Translations

(Etheridge) Then went the rulers with the satellites to bring them, not with violence, for they feared lest the people should stone them;

(Murdock) Then went the rulers with attendants, to bring them without violence; for they feared, lest the people should stone them.

(Lamsa) Then the leaders went with the soldiers to bring them, not by force, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.

(KJV) Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.
