Translations

(Etheridge) But he answered and said, I am not willing: yet afterwards he relented, and went.

(Murdock) And he answered and said, I am not willing. But afterwards he repented and went.

(Lamsa) He answered and said, I do not want to, but later he regretted and went.

(KJV) He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
