Mark 15:44 - ܦ݁ܺܝܠܰܛܳܘܣ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܬ݁ܡܰܗ ܕ݁ܶܐܢ ܡܶܢ ܟ݁ܰܕ݁ܽܘ ܡܺܝܬ݂ ܘܰܩܪܳܐ ܠܩܶܢܛܪܽܘܢܳܐ ܘܫܰܐܠܶܗ ܕ݁ܶܐܢ ܡܶܢ ܩܕ݂ܳܡ ܥܶܕ݁ܳܢܳܐ ܡܺܝܬ݂ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) But Pilatos wondered if he were now dead; and he called the centurion and asked him whether before the time he was dead:

(Murdock) And Pilate wondered that he should be already dead. And he called the centurion, and inquired if he had been any time dead.

(Lamsa) But Pilate marvelled that he was already dead. So he called the centurion and asked him if he had died before the time.

(KJV) And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
