Translations
(Etheridge) And he assembled all the chief priests and scribes of the people, and anxiously inquired of them where the Meshicha should be born.
(Murdock) And he assembled all the chiefs of the priests and the scribes of the people, and inquired of them, Where is the birthplace of the Messiah ?
(Lamsa) So he gathered together all the high priests and the scribes of the people, and he kept asking them, where the Christ would be born?
(KJV) And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
