Translations

(Etheridge) And he said to them, that so it is written, and so it was just, that the Meshicha should suffer, and should rise from among the dead in the three days,

(Murdock) And he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus it was right for Messiah to suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day;

(Lamsa) And he said to them, Thus it is written, and it was right that Christ should suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day;

(KJV) And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
