Luke 1:17 - ܘܗܽܘ ܢܺܐܙܰܠ ܩܕ݂ܳܡܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܒ݁ܪܽܘܚܳܐ ܘܰܒ݂ܚܰܝܠܳܐ ܕ݁ܺܐܠܺܝܳܐ ܢܒ݂ܺܝܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܰܦ݂ܢܶܐ ܠܶܒ݁ܳܐ ܕ݁ܰܐܒ݂ܳܗܶܐ ܥܰܠ ܒ݁ܢܰܝܳܐ ܘܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܡܶܬ݁ܛܦ݁ܺܝܣܺܝܢ ܠܺܝܕ݂ܰܥܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܟ݂ܺܐܢܶܐ ܘܰܢܛܰܝܶܒ݂ ܠܡܳܪܝܳܐ ܥܰܡܳܐ ܓ݁ܡܺܝܪܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And he shall go before him in the spirit and the power of Elia the prophet, to turn the hearts of the fathers unto the children, and those who believe not to the knowledge of the righteous, and to prepare for the Lord a perfect people.

(Murdock) And he will go before him, in the spirit and power of Elijah the prophet, and will turn the heart of the fathers unto the children, and them that are disobedient to the knowledge of the righteous, and will prepare a perfect people for the Lord.

(Lamsa) And he will go before them with the spirit and the power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of parents to their children, and those who are disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous; and he will prepare a true people for the Lord.

(KJV) And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
