Translations

(Etheridge) and brought him unto Chanan first, because he was father-in-law of Kaiapha, he who was the high priest of that year.

(Murdock) and they led him first to the presence of Annas; for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest of that year.

(Lamsa) And they brought him first to Annas, because he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was the high priest of that year.

(KJV) And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.
