Translations

(Etheridge) you ask and receive not, because you ask wickedly, as that you may cherish your lusts.

(Murdock) Ye ask, and receive not; because ye ask wickedly, that ye may pamper your lusts.

(Lamsa) You ask and you do not receive because you do not ask sincerely, you ask that you may satisfy your lusts.

(KJV) Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
