Acts 19:31 - ܘܳܐܦ݂ ܪܺܫܶܐ ܕ݁ܰܐܣܺܝܰܐ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܪܳܚܡܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ ܫܰܕ݁ܰܪܘ ܒ݁ܥܰܘ ܡܶܢܶܗ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܢܶܬ݁ܶܠ ܢܰܦ݂ܫܶܗ ܕ݁ܢܶܥܽܘܠ ܠܬ݂ܶܐܰܛܪܳܘܢ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And the chiefs of Asia, because they were his friends, sent, praying of him not to deliver ^{[Or, give his life.]} himself by going into the theatre.

(Murdock) And likewise the chiefs of Asia, because they were his friends, sent and requested of him, that he would not expose himself by going into the theatre.

(Lamsa) And likewise some of the chiefs of Asia Minor, because they were his friends, sent to him, begging him not to risk his life by entering the theatre.

(KJV) And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends, sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
