Acts 14:12 - ܘܫܰܡܺܝܘ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ ܠܒ݂ܰܪܢܰܒ݂ܰܐ ܡܳܪܶܐ ܐܰܠܳܗܶܐ ܘܰܠܦ݁ܰܘܠܳܘܣ ܗܶܪܡܺܝܣ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܗܽܘ ܡܫܰܪܶܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܒ݁ܡܶܠܬ݂ܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And they named Bar Naba, lord of the gods ; ^{[Mare Alohee.]} and Paulos, Hermis, because he was foremost in discourse.

(Murdock) And they named Barnabas the Lord of the Gods; and Paul Hermes, because he commenced the speaking.

(Lamsa) So they called Bar'na-bas, the chief of the gods; and Paul, they called Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.

(KJV) And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
