Translations

(Etheridge) And he took him, and raised unto them David the king, and testified of him, and said, I have found David, the son of Jeshai, a man according to my heart; he will perform all my will.

(Murdock) And he removed him, and raised up to them David as king: and he testified of him, and said: I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart: he will do all my pleasure.

(Lamsa) And when in time God took Saul away he raised up to them David to be their king; concerning whom he testified and said, I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart, to do my will.

(KJV) And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
