Acts 12:23 - ܘܰܚܠܳܦ݂ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܝܰܗ݈ܒ݂ ܬ݁ܶܫܒ݁ܽܘܚܬ݁ܳܐ ܠܰܐܠܳܗܳܐ ܒ݁ܳܗ ܒ݁ܫܳܥܬ݂ܳܐ ܡܚܳܝܗ݈ܝ ܡܰܠܰܐܟ݂ܶܗ ܕ݁ܡܳܪܝܳܐ ܘܰܪܦ݂ܰܬ݂ ܒ݁ܬ݂ܰܘܠܥܶܐ ܘܡܺܝܬ݂ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And on this account, because he gave not the glory to Aloha, in that hour the angel of the Lord smote him, and he was corroded with worms, and died.

(Murdock) And, because he gave not the glory to God, immediately the angel of God smote him; and he was eaten of worms, and died.

(Lamsa) And because he did not give the glory to God, in that very hour an angel of the LORD smote him, and he was eaten by disease and died.

(KJV) And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
