Translations

(Etheridge) and to judges, because from him they are sent for the punishment of transgressors, and for the commendation of good works.

(Murdock) and to judges, because they are sent by him for the punishment of offenders, and for the praise of them that do well.

(Lamsa) Or to judges because from them officers are sent for the punishment of offenders, and to bestow honour on those who do good.

(KJV) Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
