Translations

(Etheridge) This went unto Pilatos, and begged the body of Jeshu. And Pilatos commanded that the body should be given to him.

(Murdock) This man went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. And Pilate directed the body to be given him.

(Lamsa) He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. And Pilate commanded that the body should be given to him.

(KJV) He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.
