Translations

(Etheridge) But he gave him no answer, no, not in one word; and upon this (Pilate) marvelled greatly.

(Murdock) But he gave him no answer, not even one word: and therefore Pilate wondered greatly.

(Lamsa) But he did not answer him, not even a word; and because of this Pilate marvelled greatly.

(KJV) And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
