Translations

(Etheridge) For every one who willeth to save his life shall lose it; and every one who shall lose his life on account of me and on account of my gospel, shall save it.

(Murdock) For, whoever will preserve his life, shall lose it; and whoever will lose his life on my account, and on account of my tidings, shall preserve it.

(Lamsa) For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of my Gospel, he will save it.

(KJV) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
