Translations

(Etheridge) Now they by the road-side are they who hear the word; and the adversary cometh, and taketh up the word from their hearts, that they should not believe and be saved.

(Murdock) And those by the side of the path, are they that hear the word, and the enemy cometh and taketh the word out of their heart, that they may not believe and live.

(Lamsa) Those on the roadside are those who hear the word; and the enemy comes and takes away the word from their heart, so that they may not believe and be saved.

(KJV) Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
