Translations

(Etheridge) but (had) various questions with him regarding their worship, and concerning Jeshu, a man who was dead, of whom Paulos said that he was alive.

(Murdock) but they had certain controversies with him respecting their worship, and respecting one Jesus, who died, but who, as Paul said, was alive.

(Lamsa) But they had certain grievances against him relative to their own worship and to one named Jesus, now dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

(KJV) But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
