Translations

(Etheridge) Render therefore to every man as is due to him: to whom tribute ^{[Lit. " head-silver."]} (is due,) tribute ; ^{[Lit. " head-silver."]} and to whom custom, custom; and to whom reverence, reverence; and to whom honour, honour.

(Murdock) Render therefore to every one, as is due to him; tribute-money, to whom tribute-money; and excise, to whom excise; and fear, to whom fear; and honor, to whom honor.

(Lamsa) Render therefore, to every one as is due to him: head tax to him who is in charge of head tax, duty to him who is in charge of custom; reverence to whom reverence is due, and honor to whom honor is due.

(KJV) Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
