Translations

(Etheridge) For whoever willeth to save his life, loseth it; but whoever (is willing) to lose his life, for my sake, he saveth it.

(Murdock) For he that will preserve his life, shall lose it; but he that shall lose his life, for my sake, will preserve it.

(Lamsa) For he who wishes to save his life, shall lose it; but he who loses his life for my sake, he shall save it.

(KJV) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
