Translations

(Etheridge) Musha gave you circumcision, not because it was from the fathers, and on the shabath you circumcise a man.

(Murdock) Because Moses gave you circumcision, (not that it was from Moses, but it was from the fathers,) ye circumcise a child on the sabbath.

(Lamsa) Moses gave you circumcision, not because it is from Moses, but because it is from the forefathers; and yet you circumcise a man on the sabbath.

(KJV) Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
