John 18:28 - ܐܰܝܬ݁ܝܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܶܝܢ ܠܝܶܫܽܘܥ ܡܶܢ ܠܘܳܬ݂ ܩܰܝܳܦ݂ܳܐ ܠܰܦ݁ܪܶܛܳܘܪܺܝܢ ܘܺܐܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܨܰܦ݂ܪܳܐ ܘܗܶܢܽܘܢ ܠܳܐ ܥܰܠܘ ܠܰܦ݁ܪܶܛܳܘܪܺܝܢ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܢܶܬ݂ܛܰܘܫܽܘܢ ܥܰܕ݂ ܐܳܟ݂ܠܺܝܢ ܦ݁ܶܨܚܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) NOW they led Jeshu from Kaiapha into the praetorium, and it was early. But they would not enter the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, until they should have eaten the petscha.

(Murdock) And they led Jesus from the presence of Caiaphas unto the Praetorium; and it was morning. But they did not enter the Praetorium, lest they should defile themselves before they had eaten the passover.

(Lamsa) Then they brought Jesus from Caiaphas to the praetorium; and it was morning; and they did not enter into the praetorium, so that they may not be defiled before they ate the passover.

(KJV) Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.
