Translations

(Etheridge) BUT I wish you to know, my brethren, that for those who are asleep you should not have sorrow, as the rest of men, who have no hope.

(Murdock) And, I wish you to know, my brethren, that ye should not mourn over them who have fallen asleep, like other people who have no hope.

(Lamsa) Now I want you to know, my brethren, that you should not grieve over those who are dead, as those do who have no hope.

(KJV) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
