Matthew 13:13 - ܘܰܠܡܰܢ ܕ݁ܠܰܝܬ݁ ܠܶܗ ܘܗܰܘ ܕ݁ܺܐܝܬ݂ ܠܶܗ ܢܶܫܬ݁ܩܶܠ ܡܶܢܶܗ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܗܳܢܳܐ ܒ݁ܦ݂ܶܠܳܐܬ݂ܳܐ ܡܡܰܠܶܠ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܥܰܡܗܽܘܢ ܡܶܛܽܠ ܕ݁ܚܳܙܶܝܢ ܘܠܳܐ ܚܳܙܶܝܢ ܘܫܳܡܥܺܝܢ ܘܠܳܐ ܫܳܡܥܺܝܢ ܘܠܳܐ ܡܶܣܬ݁ܰܟ݁ܠܺܝܢ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) but ^[as] to him who hath not, that also which he hath shall be taken from him. On this account I speak to them in parables. Hence they see, and (yet) see not; and they hear, and (yet) hear not, neither understand;

(Murdock) For this cause I discourse to them in similitudes, because they see and do not see, and they hear and do not hear, nor understand.

(Lamsa) This is the reason I speak to them in figures, because they see and yet cannot perceive; and they hear and yet do not listen, nor do they understand.

(KJV) Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
