Translations

(Etheridge) AND when it was evening of the preparation which is before the shabath,

(Murdock) And, as it was the eve of preparation, which precedeth the sabbath,

(Lamsa) And when it was Friday evening, which is before the sabbath,

(KJV) And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
