Hebrews 12:9 - ܘܶܐܢ ܐܰܒ݂ܳܗܰܝܢ ܕ݁ܒ݂ܶܣܪܳܐ ܪܳܕ݂ܶܝܢ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ ܠܰܢ ܘܒ݂ܳܗܬ݁ܺܝܢ ܗܘܰܝܢ ܡܶܢܗܽܘܢ ܟ݁ܡܳܐ ܗܳܟ݂ܺܝܠ ܚܰܝܳܒ݂ܺܝܢܰܢ ܕ݁ܢܶܫܬ݁ܰܥܒ݁ܰܕ݂ ܠܰܐܒ݂ܽܘܗܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܪܽܘܚܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܘܢܺܚܶܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) And if (when) the fathers of the flesh have chastised us we have revered them, how much more are we bound to be subject to our spiritual fathers ^{[Abothain däruchotho, a very questionable reading]} , that we may live?

(Murdock) And if our fathers of the flesh chastened us, and we revered them, how much more ought we to be submissive to our spiritual fathers, and live ?

(Lamsa) Furthermore if our fathers of the flesh corrected us and we respected them, how much more then should we willingly be under subjection to our Spiritual Father, and live?

(KJV) Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
