Translations

(Etheridge) But their treachery was showed to Shaol, which they sought to do to him; and that they kept the gates of the city day and night to kill him.

(Murdock) And the plot which they sought to execute upon him, was made known to Saul: and they watched the gates of the city by day and by night, in order to kill him.

(Lamsa) But their conspiracy was made known to Saul, how they watched the gates of the city day and night to kill him.

(KJV) But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.
