Translations

(Etheridge) For there are men who say, His epistles are weighty and forcible; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

(Murdock) For there are some who say, [His] epistles are weighty and forcible, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

(Lamsa) For there are men who say that his epistles are weighty and powerful; but his bodily appearance is weak, and his speech foolish.

(KJV) For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.
